MSS stands as a well structured voluntary body with definite social aims and objectives. It strives to focus on overall social welfare through various initiatives, which activities have been executed with internal and external resources in the respective areas through innovative drives and methods.

MSS Governance

The enthusiasm spirit of West Sikkim (India) whose constructive thoughts jointly in development sector achieving a positive social development changes towards bringing on extraordinary rapport to the platform MSS by way of building the capacity of deprived and disadvantaged community all the way through participatory method for their economic as well as livelihood sustainability long run. The platform MSS always respects and pays its heartiest honour to the Body for their continuous team efforts, which made it more prominent, accountable and systematic key facilitator for the people in need socially and made it able to draw the faith on its steps of the general people belong to rural, semi urban and urban communities simultaneously and their participation all the way proudly brought it on today's fit.

Mission
MSS’s mission is to develop an optimal mechanism for rural society, especially disadvantaged sections, with commitment for sustainable livelihood and improved quality of life, which is achieved through different socio-developmental key activities and effective application of local resources in association with the community associated participatory all the way.   

Vision
We long for a just and peaceful society in which each individual and each community is empowered and self-reliant; where human dignity, equal rights and equal opportunities are enjoyed by all.

Objectives
MSS works for the cause and care of deprived rural societies and improve their quality of life professionally. It is integrating its programs and services, and consciously moving from welfare towards development and long term sustainability for rural communities as because the community's active involvement and support in rural development action makes the program sustainable as well as the platform by which they are availing facilitation. MSS advocates firm social changes by adopting well planned strategies and need based approaches. Identifying the target areas and working for them systematically is major goal. It’s basic objectives involve:- 
To promote education, environment, tourism, sports, culture, rural health and emergency care and all other related developmental resources for overall development of the communities.
To develop and implement poverty focus participatory approach in agriculture & allied, livestock, watershed development, community mobilization and build them professionally, which is sustainable and can be replicable to other areas of its interest.
To improve the socioeconomic condition of the small and marginalized section of the community particularly poorest of the poor, youth, women and children through various integrated rural development initiatives and innovations.
To setup knowledge centre for the rural peoples in the areas of agriculture/allied, health and hygiene, water and sanitation, education and career and other aspects of natural resource base livelihoods.
To promote village base institutions such as society, youth club, cooperatives, SHGs (women group) etc for strengthening the process of participatory development.
To promote organic production and their marketing in proper way.
To build up the capacity of community for self-reliant so that they can be able to identify themselves their problems and self develop the solution through team spirit.
